Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It's that time of year again when everyone is "Irish" for the St. Patrick's Day festivities. And no city in the world save for Dublin, Ireland shows the passion and pride of being Irish like Chicago! The River will be green tomorrow for the downtown parade, which is cool, but this blogger has a soft spot for the South Side Parade being held on Sunday, as my parents and relatives are true South Side Irish! Make it an all-Irish weekend and go to both and do as the Irish do best -- have fun! Of course, be sure to stop by the Car Gallery in your best green attire and enjoy the ever original car lot covered with green and white balloons. You know car dealers love their balloons! Hey, at least we won't go the cheezy route and have some poor soul dressed up like a leprechaun trying to entice you onto our lot. No, you'll just find the usual laid back sales guys greeting you with a friendly "hello" and ready to assist you in your car buying needs. See you this weekend!

Sláinte!

Why Sacrifice Power for Fuel Efficiency?

A lot of people think that you need to buy a car with a 4-cylinder engine to save money at the pump. 4-Cylinder cars are great gas savers and there are a lot of reliable models to choose from, but some complain that they have no power and it feels like driving a 'go-cart.' There are many fuel efficient V6 sedans that get great gas mileage without sacrificing power. The 2006 Pontiac G6 shown above is a great example. It has a powerful 3.5L V6 engine and gets and EPA estimated 32 MPG highway! Check it out at cargallerygroup.com and stop on by the Car Gallery on 3641 N. Western Ave. in Chicago to test drive it today.
